Raising the foundation in Kennett Square, PA
This home in Kennett Square, PA had an old angle cellar door with a very low foundation, so the homeowner reached out to Steelway for help. One of the sales representatives went out to measure the foundation for us to manufacture a custom cellar door in our King of Prussia plant, to be installed after raising the foundation a few inches. On day 1, our concrete division removed the old cellar door, did some demo to the foundation, set forms, and poured concrete. After the concrete had time to cure a few days, the crew went back out, removed the forms, and installed the new custom angle cellar door. We think higher platforms always look so much better and are always a good idea to help keep any pooling water out of the cellar way. Another great job by our amazing concrete division!

Old cellar door
The foundation is so low, that any volume of water, tends to run down the stairs, and would leak into the house.
