Choose a steel window well cover built from high-strength 3″ × 3″ × 0.25″ steel angle iron or a lightweight aluminum window well cover using premium 6061 aluminum 3″ × 3″ × 0.25″ for the frame and substructure. The walking surface features 0.125″ expanded aluminum or steel grating to boost strength while promoting ventilation and preventing debris buildup. Available as operable or non-operable window well grates, each unit uses stainless-steel piano hinges with optional padlock tabs or slide-bar locks for added security and code-friendly access. Finish options include natural aluminum or primed and painted in white or black for a clean, corrosion-resistant look.
