One of our sales representatives met with the homeowner to discuss their options. After permits were approved, decisions made, parts manufactured, we sent a crew out on installation day. They excavated, cut into foundation, and installed a precast window well egress on one side of the home. The installers removed the old window well that was old, and constantly allowing dirt and debris in, blocking the basement window. We installed a well and cover combo unit in its place, which allows natural light, but keeps out the dirt and debris. Great job guys!

Well basement egress installed in West Chester, PA

In West Chester, PA this homeowner wanted to replace her old well and window with a steel well basement egress. We sent one of our sales representatives out to take measurements for the proper size well and window for this tight spot. One the day of installation, one of our installation crews went out, dug out the old well, removed the window, and installed the Egress window and special sized steel well. We also had to fabricate a special size top, which had to be manufactured after the initial install. We went back the following day to install that on top of the grate. Turning a walk-out into an Egress Window in Richboro, PA

This Richboro, PA homeowner contacted Steelway with a different kind of request. They had a basement walkout that they wanted to transform into an egress window. Not a problem for Steelway! One of our sales associates went out to measure and discuss options with the homeowner. We had to special order the specific size and type of window that the homeowner wanted. As soon as the permits were all approved, we sent one of the crews out to start the work. They removed the old vertical door and put the forms and rebar into place to fill the lower half of the door with the concrete, and board up the window area while allowing the concrete to dry and cure. We went back out, installed the window and baseboard on the inside. Now the homeowner just has to have his stucco touched up and decide what color paint they want to use on the inside, and it’s like a brand-new room! Great job guys!

In West Chester, PA this builder contacted us to manufacture a cellar door as they were building the house. One of our sales representatives went out to measure for the custom oversized angle door that we used to fabricate in our King of Prussia plant. Since we are practicing social distancing, the manufacturing took a bit longer than usual, but we got it done and a 1 man crew went out to install. Great job!
